How to Learn Perfect Romanian As a Native Romanian Speaker

Even if you were born into Romanian, it can be a tough language to master. It has a large vocabulary and many grammar rules you need to learn. Romanian borrows words from many different languages, and new words and expressions are continually emerging


Use standard Romanian. Avoid nonstandard and ungrammatical forms of Romanian, try to learn only the standard form of Romanian, this way you will be understood by everyone. Consult Romanian dictionary for correct usage and best way to form sentences.

Learn proper Romanian pronunciation in mind. Learn Romanian pronunciation by watching Romanian movies and documentaries, check the correct pronunciation of Romanian words in a dictionary.

Expose yourself to writing to learn Romanian structures, tones, and ideas. Almost every work in print is a good way to learn Romanian, the vast majority of printed works, such as books and magazines, have been carefully edited. Read various kind of written Romanian. As you read more, mistakes and errors will start to sound wrong to you. You will start to feel the Romanian language and know when a mistake is made.


Listen to talk radio, Romanian podcasts, and download audio books

Read Romanian texts aloud, with intonation. You can read to your kids or to yourself in Romanian. Reading passages aloud is one way to learn sentence structures and vocabulary usage. You will improve your Romanian speaking skills, especially if you are shy when you speak. If you practice reading Romanian books aloud, you will be less likely to hesitate or pause when you talk. You be able to speak and communicate with words carefully instead of slurring them together

Build your Romanian vocabulary. Reading will make learn from a far wider range of words than just listening to conversational or spoken Romanian, such as radio or television. Learn and memorize Romanian words that you do not know. Also look through the dictionary, play word games (such as Hangman, Fictionary, and Free Rice), and subscribe to a word of the day website in Romanian.

Play with Romanian to explore it.  Try to sing songs in Romanian to yourself, speak when your alone at home, think in Romanian about all sorts of things and even sweasr and express your anger in Romanian.

Practice writing in Romanian. Write for a journal, blog, or a forum in Romanian. practice daily, if possible. In email and text messages, use complete sentences. Try to write poetry in Romanian.

Consider your audience. Do not be afraid to speak Romanian and make mistakes. Fear is not good for you, you will speak never speak Romanian if you are afraid of making mistakes, just speak and do not worry about mistakes, they are part of the learning process

Try to speak Romanian with Romanian native speaker on skype. Speaking with the natives is the best way to really speak like them, you need to have a friend who can talk to you on a daily basis and help you learn the correct pronunciation.
